June is Healing Month — for me


So, I’ve decided this month is all about self-healing. As a sensitive human being, yoga instructor, and reiki practitioner I’ve come to understand the need for self-healing and love more and more.

It’s one of the most important things about being human. As someone who is very empathic it was far too easy for me to give myself and my power away to others. I thought I was helping people, and perhaps I often was, but I was truly draining myself too often.

It might sound selfish, but taking care of yourself has to be an utmost priority. This is in fact a selfless act, because taking really good care of yourself will provide you with the ability and energy to assist others more! Every body wins!!

So, that’s my goal this June: to allow myself to heal and be gentle with myself.

To do this I plan on doing the following things:

-writing at least 2 hours daily
-practicing at least one hour of yoga for myself
-meditating at least 20 minutes daily
-reiki for me at least 15 minutes daily
-eating well and often
-following a routine I set
-managing my finances
-getting outside at least 30 minutes a day
-writing all of this down on my whiteboard


IT’S A DEAL. Who needs New Year’s resolutions when you can have New Month resolutions?



P.S. I may start posting shoddy daily vlogs because, why not? Debating. Let me know if you have any thoughts on that matter – or any matter!

  1. I think this is an excellent plan. It’s most important to put yourself first so that you can also help others. Better to give 80% of your time to helping people 100% then 100% of your time but with just 50% of your energy. I only recently figured that out too.

    They are all great ideas. This is such a good time of year to target them too. The 1st January is a terrible time. I do mine 1st February which gives me time to get over Christmas and slowly prepare. I’m still on my no sugar-more exercise-eat better-write more plan and it is all still going well.

    If it tails off a bit towards Christmas I won’t mind too much as 10 months out of 12 ain’t bad. 🙂
