“Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey

Music video by Lana Del Rey performing “Young and Beautiful”

The orchestral music is gorgeous and Lana’s voice is like velvet, proclaiming and repeating some of our deepest insecurities with the phrase:

“Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful/Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul/”

Songs and lyrics like these resound and reverberate deeply within my soul. This song so deeply resonates with me, it’s absolutely beautiful. I hope it speaks to you too.

  1. I wasn’t all that crazy about her song “Video Games” last year (especially after her Saturday Night Live performance), but this song is fabulous! I have it on replay on my iPod. I’m a sucker for orchestral music.

    • Haven’t heard the “Video Games” song, but I’m very happy you enjoy this song too!! I’m the same way about orchestral stuff, when done right the music is so full and the lyrics just soar so nicely on top of the whole musical arrangement 🙂

      • P.S. Just listened to “Video Games” as it popped up next on Youtube 😛 you’re right, not a huge fan of that song either.

  2. You are right, the orchestral accompaniment on this video is wonderful. Though I was vaguely aware of her, this is the first time I have listened to her music and it won’t be the last. I can see why you love it so.

    • Happy you also enjoy it, Stephen! I have a dear friend who has loved her for a while, but it wasn’t until today I actually was able to sit down and listen. Glad you’re a fan too!!
