Cleaning & Purging

Re-focusing on ourselves is not necessarily something that we are trained to do and also not really something our society believes is exceptionally important.

Sure, it’s great that we’re always chasing dreams and probably on the whole we are busy people…but it’s incredibly important to know yourself and know your limits.

I’ve always stretched myself and tried to do as much as possible, which has been great for me! As someone who is more of an extrovert, I get a lot of energy when I’m out with people.

Yet, it took an incredibly long 6-day work week for me to finally realize that I’ve kind of been overdoing it lately. I pretty much crashed most of today and couldn’t find time to do the chores I wanted to do (so disappointed!).

It’s important to let you bodies and minds recover, though. I think that’s something you have to tell yourself sometimes when you feel guilty about doing things for yourself and taking time to just relax.

While I haven’t been able to do much cleaning of my house today, I have been able to relax, drink some macha green tea, and make sure I take care of myself.

I’ve been focusing on cleaning up my act and purging myself of negative thoughts. We’re human machines and we all need a break to re-boot and even restart.
